Responsibilities

• Host exciting live‑streamed sports card breaks, delivering energy, entertainment, and expertise to captivate viewers.
• Create a welcoming and interactive atmosphere, responding to audience questions and building relationships.
• Promote current and upcoming products, emphasizing their value to both seasoned and new collectors.
• Carefully handle, organize, and/or sleeve high‑value products during live sessions, ensuring quality and accuracy for customers.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to generate social media content and expand WeTheHobby’s online reach.
• Represent the brand at card shows and community events, connecting with collectors and partners.
• Continuously improve engagement, entertainment, and fan‑base growth through feedback and creativity.

Requirements

• Genuine enthusiasm for sports and the surrounding culture.
• Comfortable in front of a camera with a lively, engaging personality.
• Organized and meticulous with card handling, sorting, sleeving, and shipment preparation.
• Clear, charismatic, and personable verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Bonus: Experience in live broadcasting, sales, or eCommerce; familiarity with platforms such as Fanatics Live, Whatnot, TikTok; experience using streaming equipment.
• Bonus: Knowledge of break‑specific terms (e.g., “case hit”, “1:1”, “parallel cards,” “rookie autos”).
• Bonus: A social media presence in the sports or hobby industry or background in collectibles.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
• Occasionally bend, stoop, or ascend stairs in an office environment.
• Lift and carry items such as laptops, monitors, and small office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Navigate a typical office setting, including attending in‑person meetings or collaborating across departments.

Pay

The anticipated pre‑commission base salary for this position in Rochester, NY, is $60,000 annually. On‑Air Personalities earn a combined total compensation ranging from $75,000 to $110,000 annually.

Schedule

Work hours include flexible scheduling with required availability for evenings and weekends.
