About the role
We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibiting sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and maintaining involvement in activities aimed at achieving unit and departmental strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Achieves learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and other group or discipline needs.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Evaluates and promotes change using data, information, and knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, method of introduction, explaining services or procedures, requesting permissions, and communicating style.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Work Experience Required: None.
Certifications Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Certification in Clinical Specialty Area.
