OluKai Retail Lead - Waikoloa
About the role
Your kuleana (responsibility) is to welcome customers into the store and deliver a remarkable brand experience. We are seeking responsible, outgoing, culturally minded team members to be the first point of contact for guests of the OluKai store.
Responsibilities
- Consistently hit goals and plans set forth by company and/or management.
- Lead by example, enforcing company policies, procedures, and corporate directives.
- Open and close the store to standard and for store keys and security measures.
- Coach and mentor Retail Associates as needed.
- Engage with new customers and build immediate and lasting rapport.
- Storytell about OluKai’s brand partnerships, product design inspirations, and why we exist.
- Expertly showcase OluKai’s product lines, ensuring quality and authenticity, staying current on fashion trends, and understanding customer needs.
- Independently resolve customer issues with a positive and aloha spirit, even in high-stress situations.
- Maintain attention to detail, upholding visual standards and store cleanliness.
- Be a team player, assisting with back-of-house duties such as receiving, processing product, and restocking.
- Use POS best practices for a seamless consumer experience.
- Act as a brand ambassador for OluKai, participating in local events and giving back programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of retail or customer service experience, preferably in a leadership or key holder role.
- Available for at least three (4-8 hours) shifts per week.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- An independent work ethic, excellent time management, and organizational abilities.
- A positive attitude and high integrity.
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of POS best practices and use for a seamless consumer experience.
- Ability to be a brand ambassador for OluKai, participating in local events and giving back programs.
