OLR Investigator (Employee Discipline) - 24728

Position Summary

The Investigator will support the unit head and staff attorneys in scheduling and processing legal and labor matters related to employee misconduct and incompetence and contractual grievances. Responsibilities include maintaining and preparing documents, responding to inquiries, and coordinating disciplinary hearings.

Responsibilities

• Assign Level 1: Analyzes and evaluates documentation, prepares reports, and coordinates disciplinary hearings.
• Assign Level 2: May supervise other investigators and guides subordinates on investigative techniques.
• Assign Level 3: Supervises subordinate investigators and administers grievance databases.

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum: Four years of full-time experience in accounting, auditing, correction administration, criminal justice administration and planning, forensic science, or a major operational area of the agency.
• Plus: Two additional years of experience in the minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong computer systems skills for maintaining case databases and generating reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong writing and organizational skills.
• Efficient legal research skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Salary

$80,494 - $84,994 (Internal candidates with comparable or less senior positions will not earn less than their current salary.)
