The Enrichment Caregiver plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of residents by implementing and overseeing activities that reflect their varied interests. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, innovation, and the ability to foster a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program to meet the diverse needs of residents.
- Conduct activities and encourage residents to participate in activities of interest.
- Maintain and report on the availability of activity equipment.
- Coordinate activities with other departments and report back to the enrichment coordinator.
- Lead volunteer associates and provide small group presentations.
- Comply with community policies, training programs, and regulatory standards.
- Provide quality care and assistance to residents, including activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
- Adhere to resident service plans and report any changes in condition to the clinical director and care coordinator.
- Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and follow safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff members, reporting any changes in resident condition as necessary.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year activities experience preferred.
- One year job-related experience in a senior living environment preferred.
- Two years experience as a STNA/NA preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
