OJJO Operator – Mechanical Scope (Field Based)

Position Summary Signal Energy is seeking experienced OJJO Operators to support the Mechanical Scope of our solar projects across the United States. This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates play a critical role in the installation of foundation systems that support solar racking. The ideal candidate is a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and eager to learn. This role requires strong safety awareness, technical equipment operation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. Activities / Responsibilities / Duties Can independently perform the following: Operate OJJO hydraulic pile driving equipment for solar foundation installationPerform pile driving and post installation per engineering specificationsAccurately align and drive posts to required depth, angle, and torqueRead and follow layout plans, pile schedules, and survey markingsWork closely with survey, mechanical, and quality teams to ensure proper placementConduct daily equipment inspections and complete required documentationPerform routine maintenance including fueling, lubricating, and cleaningIdentify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concernsMaintain productivity targets while meeting all safety and quality standardsSupport general mechanical scope operations as needed Skills / Abilities Follow all safety regulations, jobsite rules, and equipment operating proceduresStrong knowledge of OJJO equipment and solar foundation installationAbility to detect equipment malfunctions and alignment issuesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, pile maps, and safety documentationPerform basic math for measurements, spacing, and depth calculationsAbility to lift and maneuver 50+ pounds of equipment and materialsAbility to perform repetitive physical activities including bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbingAbility to stand or walk for extended periodsOpen to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvementStrong teamwork and communication skillsModel high standards in safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and professionalismActively embodies Signal’s Core Principles and One Team approachProvides timely documentation including production tracking and Tier Board updates This position requires working outdoors in various and often extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust. Candidates must be able to work safely in all weather conditions as permitted.
