About the Role

Our Berea residential campus provides vital, out‑of‑home care for boys and girls facing complex trauma, mental health needs, and academic or emotional struggles. As a Youth Care Specialist, you will provide safe, trauma‑informed care for high‑risk youth, partner with caregivers and placing agencies to transition youth back home safely, and help empower the 26,000 Ohioans we serve annually across our diverse programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, trauma‑informed care for high‑risk youth.
• Partner with caregivers and placing agencies to transition youth back home safely.
• Support the broader mission of serving 26,000 Ohioans annually.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED minimum.
• 1+ years of experience working with high‑risk/at‑risk youth, corrections, or mental health populations.
• Ability to pass a free pre‑employment screening (fingerprint background check, physical, TB test, and drug screen).
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health, criminal justice, or youth development.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development, crisis intervention, and trauma‑informed care.

Pay

$18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Schedule

• Full‑Time: 2nd shift or 3rd shift.
• Part‑Time: 2nd shift or 1st shift (weekends).
