Latham & Watkins is one of the world’s leading global law firms. This role is based in either Boston, New York, Houston, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C., and may offer a flexible working schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Administering the conflicts review for all lateral attorney candidates
  • Assisting the candidate with completion of the conflicts questionnaire
  • Obtaining necessary guidance from attorneys or other Conflicts staff to properly evaluate the lateral conflicts check
  • Analyzing conflicts reports to determine those matters requiring additional review
  • Communicating follow-up questions to attorneys or suggesting Ethics Committee action
  • Preparing a summary of information from the conflicts report analysis and follow-up responses
  • Reporting conflicts resolution of issues to the sponsoring attorneys and the recruiting departments
  • Working with OGC leadership to ensure work is addressed in the most efficient order and following guidance from supervisors and managers with respect to the triage of work

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate an advanced ability to perceive and analyze problems, and develop alternative strategies to solve them
  • Display well-developed, professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interface with attorneys, management, support staff, and outside contacts
  • Possess the organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, handle multiple deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

The pay range for this role is USD $75,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
