Offsite Catering Cook

Responsibilities

  • Prepare multiple meals and courses for several events on a weekly basis: Includes appetizers, fully plated and buffet style dinners with sides, desserts & more.
  • Maintain prep lists and stay on schedule for event deadlines.
  • Maintain proper food handling, sanitation and storage procedures in compliance with health department regulations.
  • Transport, set up, and return food from events as needed.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, presented and served with high quality and food safety standards.
  • Aid catering manager and catering staff with day of event execution at events.
  • Adapt to various venues, equipment limitations and day of changes.
  • Work alongside restaurant culinary team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressured environment.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and food safety practices.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Available Friday-Saturdays with some Sundays & holidays as needed.
  • Flexible weekday hours.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally more.
  • Work in varying weather conditions and environments.
