Our business also includes a diversified suite of Jones Act compliant marine transportation equipment, the production and marketing of specialty chemicals, and an integrated portfolio of onshore crude oil pipelines and terminals along the Gulf Coast.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, test, maintain, install, repair, and operate corrosion control equipment for crude oil pipelines.
- Conduct surveys and tests, gather data, and prepare reports to maintain pipeline system integrity.
- Maintain required documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Work with corrosion engineers to ensure the pipeline system operates at required standards.
- Meet performance training requirements set by the Company and local/federal agencies.
- Supervise outside contractors performing work on the pipeline system.
- Promptly report any suspected or potential problem areas to the local Pipeline Manager.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of local, state, and federal regulations and advise management of any impact.
- Successfully complete OQ (Operator Qualifications) training on tasks performed.
- Participate in and promote the Company’s safety program to coworkers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years’ experience in cathodic protection.
- NACE certification; CP-1 Cathodic Protection Tester.
- Self-starter, responsible, and able to work with very limited supervision.
- Familiar with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite products: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Capable of supervising outside contractors.
- May require some travel.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Pipeline Compliance Systems (PCS) - Allegro Field Data PC preferred.
This position must adhere to applicable D.O.T. regulations and is considered Safety Sensitive, subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
