As the full-time Store Team Leader, you are the CEO of your store. You are an entrepreneurial-minded business owner who takes pride in maximizing the daily operations of your store. Responsibilities
- Drive sales by maximizing overall store productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience.
- Create, manage and own your store's business plan to meet KPI goals.
- Own the controllable elements of your store's P&L; analyze reporting and daily sales trends to make real-time, innovative business decisions to achieve store financial goals.
- Recruit, hire and retain a high-performing team.
- Advocate for your team's development, encourage pursuit of internal opportunities, and maintain a succession plan to ensure a clear career path for all associates.
- Develop store leadership through leadership development training, performance feedback, individual development plans, and annual performance reviews.
- Champion a culture of teamwork and recognition by establishing and communicating goals, holding the team accountable to brand standards, and celebrating outstanding performance daily.
- Maintain AEO Brand Visual Standards by owning all visual and merchandising processes, including Floorsets, merchandise adjustments, and replenishment.
- Ensure the team clearly understands their role in keeping the store guest-ready.
- Maximize business performance through well-thought-out scheduling by evaluating traffic, calendars, and payroll reports; make scheduling adjustments to meet business needs.
- Leverage top talent to deliver an impeccable guest experience while keeping payroll in check.
- Demonstrate integrity in compensation decisions, ensure audit and shrink results meet Asset Protection Standards, and follow AEO's policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous retail management experience leading functional teams.
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail; strong priority-setting and time management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams with a general understanding of employment law.
- Track record of effective communication and conflict management.
- Strong business acumen and ability to analyze reporting to drive sales.
- Flexible availability to work when the store is open to guests.
