The Official Records Services Entry Clerk is responsible for efficiently and effectively processing documents presented for recording into the Official Records. All functions are performed in accordance with ORS policies, procedures, and guidelines with ample direction and/or supervision. Note: Training will be completed at the downtown Fort Myers location. Once trained, the work location for this position will be at the Lehigh Acres branch office. As an Official Records Services Entry Level Clerk, you will: Provide support to the team in regard to daily operations to ensure functions Responsible for ensuring customer service is a high priority and that customers are treated courteouslyHandle payments accurately and securelyAccurately balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shiftAccurately and timely accept and process document types brought or sent to ORSBecome and/or perform duties as a Notary Public of the State of FloridaMaintain knowledge of duties and requirements to ensure compliance with the Notary Laws of the State of FloridaNavigate Intranet, LeeClerk.org and Kiosk stationMeet expected performance measures accurately and timelyIssue Marriage Licenses and perform Marriage CeremoniesEnsure compliance with Florida Statutes; Records Management Policies, Guidelines and Procedures; and Best PracticesLearn recording fees and document typesRetrieve, open, sort and distribute mailLearn and operate microfilm retrieval systemObserve Plat recording processGain knowledge of the redaction requirements on a recorded documentOther duties and/or special projects as assigned Education & Experience For a complete job description, click here .
