Office Supervisor - Air Cargo (IAH)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare statistics and reports, as required by customer and managers, and distribute to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain logs, files, and statistics as required.
  • Provide details about shipments or handling incidents, which may result in future claims.
  • Keep track of ULD stock, inventory reports, and send appropriate messages as required.
  • Liaise closely with Top Airline Account Coordinators.
  • Conduct spot checks on all office related performance.
  • Avoid errors in DRP entries.
  • Review staff performance and provide OJT as necessary.
  • Ensure all customers are provided with information concerning the status of their shipments.
  • Review and handle all messages requiring immediate responses or special handling. Liaise with manager as required.
  • Ensure customer funds are deposited regularly, in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Survey all work and office areas for neat, clean, and orderly conditions, including all back offices. Areas must be free of debris and any other work safety hazards.
  • Ensure all safety standards are adhered to and all security procedures are complied with.
  • Check daily briefings and ensure all staff are briefed.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the managers.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED, with a college degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
  • Two years of continuous office experience.
  • Two years of Supervisor experience.
  • Ability to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • A valid and unexpired US Driver’s license.
  • Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • PC proficiency (MS Office applications).
  • Able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
  • Able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post-offer drug screens.
  • Available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to handle stress in a fast-paced, high-noise environment, and meet deadlines.
  • Some travel may be required for airline specific training.
