Office Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

Affords assessments of the physical and psychosocial status of patients through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests. Develops and implements treatment plans, monitors patient progress, and coordinates care across the health-illness continuum.

Provides comprehensive healthcare services, including diagnosis, treatment, and counseling for patients with stable chronic illnesses. Manages patient records and ensures adherence to clinical protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Elicits and reviews medical histories and conducts physical examinations.
• Orders diagnostic tests and interprets results.
• Develops and implements treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
• Counsels patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Participates in quality assurance and risk management programs.
• Supervises and supports clinical staff during triage and care delivery.
• Prescribes medications within the practice agreement and protocol.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Current RN license in South Carolina.
• Appropriate NP certification.
• CPR and BLS certifications.
