Office/Mill Cleaner

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to push/pull cleaning cart.
• Ability to use handheld cleaning tools and electric cleaning equipment.
• Knowledgeable of safe and proper use of various cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledgeable in disinfecting high touch surfaces in main areas of both plants.
• Clean/disinfect lunchroom, bathrooms, offices, punch clocks, main doors, and railings.
• Water plants outside during seasonal times.
• Be self-motivated and prioritize cleaning/disinfecting tasks.
• Maintain first aid kits and safety glass cleaning stations.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and communicate needs.
• Assist with seasonal lawn care using weed eater and riding lawnmower.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional technical and boiler schooling preferred.
• Read, write, and use basic and advanced arithmetic.
• On the job training provided.
• Knowledgeable of various hand and electric tools to complete cleaning procedures.
• Experience and ability to operate mobile equipment.

Skills

• Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating/work order instructions.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Languages Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate with others at all levels in both oral and written methods.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach, push/pull, lift, and carry.
• Frequent use of hands to handle, or feel.
• Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly talk or hear.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
