Office Manager- DEHE Business Support

Responsibilities

  • Manages and schedules assigned staff.
  • Develops goals and priorities, and assigns tasks and projects.
  • Develops staff skills and training plans.
  • Counsels, trains, and coaches assigned staff.
  • Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations for staff.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to subordinates.
  • Performs advanced administration and support work requiring detailed field-specific knowledge relevant to the assigned department.
  • Requests information from and provides information to other departments and outside sources.
  • Manages special projects as required.
  • Researches scope of project, assigns resources, and monitors progress of assigned staff.
  • Affords assistance to department and division managers with process analysis and developing production measures for improved efficiencies.
  • Compiles and analyzes data.
  • Prepares and processes special and recurring reports and administrative records.
  • Completes, submits, and tracks company forms such as travel/expense reports, check requests, company credit cards, purchase requests, and personnel action documents.
  • Affords assurance that departmental alignment with corporate compliance.
  • Functs as department liaison for activities and initiatives with other divisions and departments.
  • Independently maintains department budget, investigating and documenting variances.
  • Keeps records up to date and reports as required to Finance and own department leaders.

Qualifications

  • Non-supervisory – Five (5) years of skilled office support experience.
  • Associate's degree in Business, Office Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Progressively responsible related work experience, education, or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
  • May require experience specific to the department assigned.
  • According to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain specific technical certifications and programming language skills.
