Responsibilities
- Manages and schedules assigned staff.
- Develops goals and priorities, and assigns tasks and projects.
- Develops staff skills and training plans.
- Counsels, trains, and coaches assigned staff.
- Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations for staff.
- Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to subordinates.
- Performs advanced administration and support work requiring detailed field-specific knowledge relevant to the assigned department.
- Requests information from and provides information to other departments and outside sources.
- Manages special projects as required.
- Researches scope of project, assigns resources, and monitors progress of assigned staff.
- Affords assistance to department and division managers with process analysis and developing production measures for improved efficiencies.
- Compiles and analyzes data.
- Prepares and processes special and recurring reports and administrative records.
- Completes, submits, and tracks company forms such as travel/expense reports, check requests, company credit cards, purchase requests, and personnel action documents.
- Affords assurance that departmental alignment with corporate compliance.
- Functs as department liaison for activities and initiatives with other divisions and departments.
- Independently maintains department budget, investigating and documenting variances.
- Keeps records up to date and reports as required to Finance and own department leaders.
Qualifications
- Non-supervisory – Five (5) years of skilled office support experience.
- Associate's degree in Business, Office Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Progressively responsible related work experience, education, or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
- May require experience specific to the department assigned.
- According to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain specific technical certifications and programming language skills.
