About the role
Under the direction of the Manager, you will perform a wide variety of duties to provide clerical and administrative support in Mercy Hospital St. Louis – Audiology.
Responsibilities
- Handle phones, billing, and appointment scheduling
- Perform patient registration and office supply inventory
- Transcription, filing, and insurance verification
- Assist in unit operational support tasks and Human Resources management
- Work cooperatively with others as part of a team
- Respond to requests within authorized scope of knowledge and skills
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with coursework in clerical skills
- Minimum of two years' experience in a medical office setting
- Typing proficiency
- Medical terminology required
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of experience in a medical office setting
Schedule
10 hours a day, 4 days a week. 6:30 am – 5 pm, no weekends. Eligible for shift differentials.
