Salary: $21.25/Hour Minimum Bargaining Unit (click here for contracts): Teamsters Contract Report Times: 8:00am - 4:30pm Daily Hours: 8.5 (paid 7.5) Work Year: 52 Weeks Supervisor: Executive Director of PPS and/or Director of PPS Civil Service Title: Office Clerk I (Competitive HELP Title) Minimum Requirements Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER: Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university, plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR Three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR, An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications. NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. A list of acceptable companies who provide this service can be found on the Internet at http://www.cs.ny.gov/jobseeker/degrees.cfm. You must pay the required evaluation fee. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: If you are appointed, you will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position. Desired Qualifications Strong computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Gmail, and Frontline IEP; Familiarity with Infinite Campus or other school reporting systems; Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills Ability to interact effectively with others; Ability to use telephone in a courteous and efficient manner; Clerical aptitude, accuracy, neatness, and follow through; Ability to prioritize tasks, or seek guidance from administrator for prioritizing; Complete all work with a high degree of quality and efficiency; Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Position Summary/Responsibilities Provide customer service to staff, parents, out of district programs, and community members; Manage and coordinate calendars for one administrator; Liaison between in-district school, the PPS Department, and out of district schools/programs; CSE/Frontline IEP Responsibilities Schedule, prepare, process all documentation for CSE meetings including amendments; Out Of District Referrals Support with gathering documents and sending out of district referrals; Support with enrollment of students in out of district programs; Support Administrator With Compliance With Part 200/201 Regulations Maintain/update compliance log- tracking consents, meetings; Maintain/update suspension log for out of district students; Maintain/update FBA/BIP log for out of district students; Sort and distribute Records Requests; Documentation management (online, scanning, filing); Perform day to day office duties including typing, copying and proofing memos, agendas and correspondence, organizing files, scheduling, answering telephones; Other Duties And Responsibilities As Assigned.
