About the role
The North Slope Borough seeks a candidate to perform a variety of routine clerical and administrative duties including typing, record keeping, answering phones, preparing correspondence, and processing various documents.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine clerical duties such as typing, record keeping, and answering phones.
- Prepare correspondence and process documents like schedules, work orders, purchase orders, invoices, time sheets, reports, or revenue for deposit.
- Operate departmental equipment as needed.
- Travel to the post office for mail and money orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- At least 12 years of education and related work experience.
- Ability to pass an FBI fingerprint background check within 60 days of hire (for Police positions).
Qualifications
- Knowledge of North Slope Borough organization, operations, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using personal computers and a variety of software applications.
Skills
- Basic computer skills.
