About the Role

Performs full-performance level work in multiple-step clerical tasks while maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines. Selected applicants must complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees are subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as per agency and bureau policies. Applicants must successfully complete a background check. This is a tobacco-free campus.

About the Organization

William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital, located in Weston, West Virginia, is a 200-bed acute psychiatric care facility owned and operated by the West Virginia Department of Health Facilities. The hospital holds accreditation from The Joint Commission and certification by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). It provides a wide range of services to patients committed through civil commitment or, for forensic patients, ordered through the judicial system.

Through collaboration with West Virginia University’s Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry, medical and clinical professionals partner with the hospital’s staff to support patients in achieving a smooth transition back to the community after discharge.
