Description Duties
- Manage tracking of Tool Compliments.
- Perform daily spot checks on maintenance and equipment inventory, pull report and count stock items to verify against report.
- Data entry includes verifying correct account codes.
- Verify locations in TFP
- Take periodic physical inventory and maintain perpetual inventory records.
- Perform random audits of Inventory by taking periodic physical inventory and maintain perpetual inventory records.
- Print labels, when necessary, complete paperwork when issuing parts, stamp and file paperwork when completed.
- Restock shelves and keep shelves and stockroom clean, neat, and in proper order.
- Sorting and distribution of materials.
- Must operate a motor vehicle/forklift clean class D license.
- Assist and help train new Office Assistant 1 Stores/Mail staff.
- Act as a back-up to the other Inventory staff when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS FOR CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES: Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service allocated to a Grade 07 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the NYS Civil Service Law.
- GENERAL PUBLIC AND/OR NY HELPS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience where most work time is spent performing activities related to mail receipt, mail distribution, storage, and/or stores keeping.

- ADDITIONAL PAY INFORMATION: The salary range for this position includes all applicable annual components of pay which are: Base Pay: $19.48 – 28.25 Recruitment & Retention Pay: $3.37 Eligibility For Employment All potential candidates for this position must be legally eligible to work in the United States at the time of appointment and throughout your employment with the New York State Thruway Authority.
