Responsibilities
- Type correspondence, documents, records, and other written material.
- Use software packages such as word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and email.
- Review work to ensure conformance with accepted office practices.
- Proofread and correct work to produce accurate copy.
- Distribute incoming mail.
- Maintain files.
- Answer phones and handle routine questions or issues.
- Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this role.
Schedule
Core operating hours for office-based positions are 8 AM to 5 PM. The exact shift within this timeframe will be discussed during the interview.
Background Investigation
- All prospective employees will undergo a Criminal Background Check (CBC), including State and federal Criminal History Record Checks.
- All convictions must be reported; conviction of a felony or misdemeanor, or any falsified or omitted information on the employment application, may bar appointment or result in removal after appointment.
- Prospective employees will be fingerprinted to obtain a record of their criminal history information and may be required to pay associated fees.
- Prospective employees will be screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR) and may be required to pay associated fees.
- For Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) prospective appointees, a check against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs will be conducted. Those found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment.
