  • Key Responsibilities
    • Assist teachers with classroom activities and academic standards.
    • Support students in achieving grade-level proficiency.
    • Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support.
    • Conduct oral reading sessions for individuals or groups.
    • Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning climate.
    • Aid students with behavioral, physical, or intellectual needs.
    • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports.
    • Help with classroom materials, supplies, and operational tasks.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational program.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Experience working with students and teachers on academic standards.
    • Experience supporting students with proficiency assessments.
    • Valid State of Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Credential.
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain discipline and manage behavioral challenges calmly.
    • Ability to assist students with a range of physical and intellectual needs.
    • Accurate recordkeeping and report preparation.
    • Ability to lift boxes, bend, stoop, and reach as needed.
  • Specialized Paraprofessional

    • Provide support in special education classrooms, assisting teachers and helping students with academic, behavioral, and physical needs.

    • Title: Specialized Paraprofessional
    • Reports To: Building Principal
    • Position Type: Full-Time
    • Contract Length: 192 work days
    • Salary: In accordance with established schedule
    • Pay Rate: Starts at $19.12

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and student assessments.
    • Support students in classroom activities, including art, music, and PE.
    • Assist with toileting, feeding, mobility, and adaptive equipment.
    • Prepare behavior charts and maintain accurate records.
    • Maintain classroom order and address behavioral challenges calmly.
    • Provide clerical support and other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Credential.
    • 1–2 years’ experience in a paraprofessional role preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, basic math, and Microsoft Office.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to assist students with physical and intellectual needs.
    • Ability to lift 25+ pounds, bend, stoop, and move around.
