About the role

We are seeking an Of Counsel Attorney with 7-10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience to join our growing Texas team. This attorney will manage complex litigation from inception through resolution while handling a diverse caseload involving:

• Commercial Trucking & Transportation Defense
• Construction Defect Litigation
• General Liability Defense
• Personal Injury Defense

The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of files, handling depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, participating in mediations, and working closely with clients throughout the litigation process. Trial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex litigation from inception through resolution
• Handle a diverse caseload in insurance defense
• Take ownership of files and manage case progression
• Conduct depositions and draft/argue dispositive motions
• Participate in mediations
• Work closely with clients throughout the litigation process

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Texas Bar license
• 7-10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Experience handling commercial trucking and transportation matters preferred
• Background in construction defect, general liability, and personal injury defense
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and case management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
