About the Role
Responsible for bookings, new business, price, and sales in accordance with the annual plan. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing and/or Business Unit Manager, you will organize and execute OEM sales and marketing activities for aerospace product lines.
- Ensure customer orders match the proposal or quotation, including price, payment terms, delivery/lead time, delivery method, export compliance, and general terms & conditions.
- Perform contract reviews and ensure contractual requirements are properly flowed within the organization.
- Maintain electronic storage and accessibility of contractual documents for appropriate parties.
- Update and maintain quote folders and quote logs.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Investigate and adjust complaints concerning deliveries or service, referring them to designated departments for resolution.
- Own the effective and timely processing of RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations).
- Provide customer assistance, problem resolution, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate product line repair business, including handling customer contacts, quote preparation, repair order status updates, and field support for technical, operational, or procedural issues.
- Work with outside sales representatives to keep account activities up to date.
- Interface and network between customers and internal teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Sales and Marketing.
- Maintain consistent workflow through the department to minimize bottlenecks.
- Promote and sell the company’s existing and new products to OEM and prospect accounts.
- Prepare a yearly sales/bookings plan in conjunction with the VP of Sales and Marketing and Business Unit Manager to support corporate goals.
- Provide a monthly report on territory, sales activity, and key metrics.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Work Experience: Five (5) or more years of applied sales experience, with a broad knowledge of the aerospace/aviation industries preferred.
- Knowledgeable of product line features, technical aspects, benefits, and selling techniques with the ability to close sales.
- Demonstrated analytical knowledge in accounting, margin analysis, etc.
- Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), database systems, and ERP software.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Must meet U.S. Person Export Control Requirements as defined by 22 CFR 120.62. A successful foreign person candidate must be eligible to obtain any required export authorizations.
Travel
Outside travel as needed, with less than 20% frequency.
