Odessa Satellite Generator Technician
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background and enjoy solving problems. They should be comfortable working with various types of engines and electricity, including AC power and DC controls.
Responsibilities
- Pull up daily schedule and ensure no changes
- Travel to job sites in company-supplied Service Truck
- Conduct Routine Planned Maintenance Inspections or Engine Services (oil and filter changes)
- Perform Quoted Service Repairs or Emergency Troubleshooting Calls
- Commission or Start Up newly installed generators (warranty work only)
- Finalize paperwork and submit electronically
- Sync paperwork with Mobile Technician Application
- Maintain parts inventory of service truck
- Be available 24/7 for on-call support
Requirements
Must have a strong understanding of combustion engines, electricity, and control systems relevant to power generation equipment. Experience with diesel, natural gas, or propane engines is preferred.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a similar field is preferred, but not required. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a mobile technician application is essential.
