OCHS - Assistant Wrestling Coach (2026-27)

Essential Job Functions

• Aid the head coach and other assistant coaches on one or more sports.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Lift heavy objects.

Performance Responsibilities

• Promote sports in the school and community.
• Plan the athletic program under the guidance of the head coach.
• Organize and supervise practices as directed by the head coach.
• Teach individual fundamental skills, team plans, team strategies and rules and regulations of the game.
• Instruct students in good sportsmanship and self-control.
• Check the eligibility of participants, including insurance coverage and parent consent.
• Provide a positive role model, emotional support, patience, a friendly attitude and general guidance to students.
• Conduct learning experiences with small groups of student athletes under the direction of the coaches.
• Recommend the purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as necessary for the health, safety, and welfare of student athletes.
• Show loyalty and dedication to the purposes and goals of Oldham County Schools.

Terms Of Employment

• Employment is on an as needed basis as determined by the Superintendent and subject to annual review.
• The stipend is commensurate with the Oldham County Schools Extra-Curricular Sponsor Stipend Schedule.

Evaluation

• Performance evaluations will be conducted annually by the building principal or his/her designee.
