About the role

Nestled up against the beautiful Wasatch mountains of Utah County, this sprawling 300 acre campus is home to multiple units specializing in the mental healthcare of psychiatric patients. Ranging from pediatric to geriatric-aged patients, the Occupational Therapy Assistant will be able to work with a variety of patients to ensure proper therapeutic treatment is administered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient needs and capacities in collaboration with Occupational therapist.
  • Plan and facilitate group and individual treatment to improve life, social, and coping skills performance.
  • Effectively document and communicate patient progress and response to treatment.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary care team of psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

  • Must possess certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association and Licensure from the Utah Occupational Therapy License Board.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with psychiatric patients in a healthcare setting, great communication and organizational skills, and a desire to effect positive change in individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges.

Pay

Salary range: $23.10 - $38.15 hourly wage.

Schedule

Shift: Monday through Friday—No Weekends Required!
