Occupational Therapy Assistant - PRN
Overview
If you’re an Occupational Therapist (OT) who wants to empower patients to achieve meaningful outcomes through compassionate and patient-centered therapy—this is it. In this role, you’ll provide occupational therapy services to the adult/geriatric population, working closely with patients to improve independence, mobility, safety, and overall quality of life. You’ll have the opportunity to follow patient progress over time and deliver truly patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop personalized care plans focused on functional independence, safety, and quality of life
- Deliver care through therapeutic activities, ADL training, and adaptive techniques
- Help patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and nursing staff to support strong patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Track patient progress, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and adapt treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or license eligible in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Program
- Interest or experience in skilled nursing, long-term care or geriatric rehabilitation
- Passion for patient-centered care and improving quality of life for older adults
