What You'll Do As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide quality, patient-centered care. Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions according to established treatment plansHelp patients improve independence with activities of daily living and functional tasksProvide therapeutic activities and exercisesAssist patients with improving strength, coordination, mobility and safetyMonitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising OTEducate patients and caregivers as appropriateComplete accurate and timely documentationCollaborate with PT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary teamPromote patient safety and positive outcomesBuild meaningful relationships with patients and their families What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programCurrent Michigan OTA license or eligibility for licensureStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate, patient-centered approachAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamSkilled nursing, post-acute or geriatric experience is a plusNew graduates are welcome to apply!
