Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) PRN

About the Role

Evolve Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-house occupational therapy services at a skilled nursing facility in South Sioux City, NE. This PRN position involves planning, organizing, and directing Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure the highest quality of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screenings of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment based on scope of practice.
• Perform treatment plans for residents, following short- and long-term goals as established in the plan of care by the supervising therapist.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members.
• Conduct therapy according to the established treatment plan, ensuring proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards, including point-of-care documentation as indicated.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active OTA licensure in the state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
