About the role

PAM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to join their team and provide care to their diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will either have previous inpatient hospital experience or be eager to develop their clinical skills in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Provide hands-on care and support the delivery of individualized occupational therapy programs.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions designed to improve patients' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate and encourage patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Follow established clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
• Remain flexible and responsive to the needs of the hospital and patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current OTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Inpatient hospital experience preferred, but motivated candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.
