About the role
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well by implementing occupational therapy programs and activities, following developed recovery plans, and delivering therapy treatments. You address the whole patient as an individual, executing programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence. You collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure patients receive the care they need. Your focus is on putting patients first, providing high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
You will report to the Director of Rehab and work in a facility-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
- Follow developed recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments.
- Address the whole patient, seeing them as an individual.
- Restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' physical abilities and independence.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to other care providers as needed.
- Ensure patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
- Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Pay
Posted Salary Range: USD $30.00 - USD $37.00 per hour.
