About the Role
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides quality therapy services to patients in a healthcare setting, following physician’s orders.
Responsibilities
- Perform therapy treatments and assist the therapist with patient care
- Communicate patient progress to the therapist and physician
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions
- Maintain accurate departmental records
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Therapy Assistant program with eligibility for certification and licensure in Colorado
- Registered or eligible to register as a therapy assistant in Colorado
- Ability to understand and communicate medical terminology effectively
