Occupational Therapy Assistant
About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that helps residents improve mobility, increase strength, restore function, and maintain their independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions that promote independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), upper extremity function, coordination, strength, balance, and cognitive skills.
- Absorb residents in improving functional performance, safety, and independence through individualized treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate documentation and treatment notes using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, energy conservation techniques, home safety, fall prevention, and strategies to maximize independence.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintain a full clinical caseload while providing compassionate, high-quality occupational therapy services.
Requirements
Current State Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) License
Current CPR/BLS Certification
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Previous experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing is preferred but not required
Qualifications

Pay
$36-$40 per visit (based on years of experience)
Schedule
Monday-Friday
Full-Time (Weekends available but not required)
