Responsibilities
- Provide personalized occupational therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help patients improve functional independence, safety and overall quality of life.
- Implement patient-centered treatment plans focused on ADLs, strength, mobility, and adaptive techniques.
- Help patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Possess strong collaboration skills, partnering with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and nursing staff to support strong patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on individual rehabilitation needs.
Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or license eligible in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Interest or experience in geriatric rehabilitation or senior living therapy.
- Passion for patient-centered care and improving quality of life for older adults.
