Responsibilities

  • Provide Occupational Therapy and related services for patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients in accordance with Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines.
  • Deliver quality patient care, including ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervision of Rehab Techs (where required), and case management responsibilities.
  • Maintain professional conduct that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service in all client interactions.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy.
  • Optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist.
  • Build and strengthen the occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Enhance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, self-study, and continuing education.
  • Maintain a valid state license and awareness of issues related to the profession and healthcare environment.
  • Understand relevant payment models, billing, treatment guidelines, and clinically appropriate delivery methods.
  • Provide quality care with reasonable goals and outcomes within established guidelines.
  • Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within facilities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English for instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited school of occupational therapy.
  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant state license.
  • Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation and basic internet navigation.
