About the role
Polaris Transitional and Extended Care Center in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their therapy team. The position offers a flexible schedule with a focus on creating and implementing personalized therapy programs.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to patient needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Assist in maintaining a homely and nurturing environment for residents
- Utilize high-tech equipment and resources available in the therapy gym
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on the latest therapy practices
Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Experience in long-term care and/or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Current license to practice occupational therapy in Alaska
- Knowledge of Green House care model principles
- Basic understanding of infection control measures
