About the role

Polaris Transitional and Extended Care Center in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their therapy team. The position offers a flexible schedule with a focus on creating and implementing personalized therapy programs.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Assist in maintaining a homely and nurturing environment for residents
• Utilize high-tech equipment and resources available in the therapy gym
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on the latest therapy practices

Requirements

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Experience in long-term care and/or skilled nursing settings preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in Alaska
• Knowledge of Green House care model principles
• Basic understanding of infection control measures

Pay

Pay range is $45.00 - $55.00 per hour based on experience.
