About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist within a dynamic team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in treating patients by following an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists. You will ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
- Aid patients through all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and document their conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each session.
- Communicate continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehabilitation, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- A current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in your state.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using standard occupational therapy equipment.
