About the role

This is a hands-on, highly interactive role where creativity and adaptability are key. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages and developmental needs across both settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 play-based therapy sessions to children with developmental delays, sensory processing needs, autism spectrum disorders, and other diagnoses
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising OT, focusing on fine motor skills, visual motor integration, sensory regulation, and daily living skills
  • Use creative, child-led activities (sensory play, crafts, obstacle courses, structured routines) to promote engagement and progress
  • Support development of self-care skills such as feeding, dressing, grooming, and toileting readiness
  • Apply sensory integration strategies to improve attention, behavior, and participation
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and staff in the EIDT setting to integrate therapy into the child’s daily routine
  • Educate and partner with parents/caregivers to support carryover at home
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment

Requirements

  • Current COTA license
  • Passion for working with children across a range of developmental stages
  • Ability to be engaging, creative, and flexible in different settings
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care

Qualifications

  • Experience in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Knowledge of sensory integration techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
