About the role
Provides skilled occupational therapy services in an acute care setting, including evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams, making referrals as needed. Delegates tasks to assistants and students, ensuring interventions meet patient needs. Completes documentation following departmental policies and offers assessments, re-evaluations, and consultations.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and executes treatment plans considering discharge needs and functional goals.
- Educates and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Delegates interventions appropriately based on skill levels.
- Maintains accurate documentation of services provided.
- Provides assessments, reassessments, and consultations for occupational therapy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's preferred.
- Occupational Therapist Licensure required.
- No prior experience necessary; supervision experience not required.
- Experience in an acute care environment preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and patient-centered skills.
Schedule
12-hour shifts on weekends.
