Occupational Therapist; University Health TMC - Occupational Therapy (FT Mon- Fri 7:30a-4p)

University Health Truman Medical Center – Kansas City, Missouri | Full time | 40 hours per week

About the role

Help people of all ages regain their independence and get back to the activities they love! As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll evaluate patients, create customized treatment plans, and guide them through hands-on therapy. You’ll work with everyone—from toddlers to seniors—collaborating with physicians, families, and rehab staff to achieve the best outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide hands-on occupational therapy interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and rehabilitation staff
• Mentor occupational therapy assistants and students
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment
• Pursue ongoing professional development to keep skills current

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Missouri Occupational Therapist license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate therapy techniques
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
