About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while exploring a new location. This role involves delivering therapy in home or community-based settings, including retirement communities, within a 5-mile radius in Boca Raton.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate a personal caseload and schedule, including independent scheduling and documentation.
- Provide occupational therapy services to an average of 5–6 patients per day in home health and retirement community settings.
- Use Netsmart EMR for documentation (required for 3-month contracts; preferred for 6-month contracts).
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Florida Occupational Therapy license (required to start the assignment).
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC (may be required).
- Home health experience, including delivering therapy in home or community-based settings.
- Ability to work standard hours (typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with approximately 30 hours per week.
- Level 2 background screening (Florida’s highest level of background check) required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Netsmart EMR (required for 3-month contracts; preferred for 6-month contracts).
- Experience providing services in retirement community settings.
