Occupational Therapist Team Leader

About the role

Lead and manage the occupational therapy team in a rehabilitation setting, ensuring seamless procedures and personalized patient care. Collaborate with the Director of Therapy Operations to oversee daily team activities, including scheduling, training, and communication with hospital departments. Provide direct patient care, building meaningful relationships to support recovery and celebrate patient progress. Utilize advanced technology in a supportive environment and promote a culture of empathy and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations, including scheduling and staff training
• Deliver direct patient care, assessing physical, mental, and emotional needs
• Support patient recovery goals and celebrate milestones
• Foster a collaborative, compassionate environment

Requirements

• Current state licensure or certification in occupational therapy
• CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Minimum of three years’ experience in occupational therapy or leadership roles, including two years clinical experience

Qualifications

Preferred: active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or holding specialty certifications.
