About the role
We are seeking LPNs and/or RNs for St. Louis city and county to work in our Private Duty Nursing/Pediatric Nursing program. They may choose to accompany a child with medical needs (typically a seizure disorder, feeding tube, trach and/or vent) to school and/or help the child during evenings, weekends, and other times school is not in session.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality care to clients in their homes
- Work closely with clients, families, and nurses to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers
- Perform routine medical procedures as necessary
- Support clients in completing daily living activities as independently as possible
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior experience as an LPN or RN
- Current valid license to practice as an LPN or RN in Missouri and Illinois
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screens
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Experience: Experience in private duty nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
- Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, ability to use medical equipment, and proficiency in computer software
