Occupational Therapist (PRN) - Cheraw

Responsibilities

• Planner and administrator of occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Completes patient evaluations based on history, observation, and measurements.
• Develops and communicates individualized treatment plans that consider the patient's learning style, therapeutic needs, and psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual aspects.
• Provides therapeutic interventions for various physical and functional impairments, such as musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental issues.
• Documents progress with measurable and functional goals in patient records.
• Maintains patient records according to hospital policy, including evaluations, progress notes, charges, and discharge summaries.
• Affixes to departmental schedules to accommodate changes in caseload.
• Serves as a supervisor for the occupational therapy assistant and discusses patient progress and goals.
• Participates in professional development through goal setting, education offerings, and maintaining CEUs for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Communicates with physicians, other medical personnel, and interdisciplinary teams about treatment provided, patient progress, complications, recommendations, and clarifications of orders.
• Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to ensure the protection of both patients and staff.
• Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina license in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR/AED) certification.
• Maintains good standing and certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
