Occupational Therapist - PRN

About the role

The Occupation Therapist will perform all Occupational Therapy Services including outpatient and inpatient. Responsibilities include evaluation, assessments, treatment program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. Supervision of Certified Occupation Therapy Assistants, Rehab aides, and students may also be involved.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and assessments of patients
  • Treatment program planning and implementation
  • Documentation of services provided
  • Communication with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Supervision of COTA's, rehab aides, and students

Requirements

  • Completion of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited occupational therapy program with a B.S., B.A., M.O.T., M.S., M.A., or OTD degree
  • Successfully completed the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board (AOTCB)
  • Licensed as an occupational therapist, registered in the state of Iowa
  • A minimum of one year of experience preferred but not required
  • Must have very good interpersonal skills, the ability to be an autonomous decision maker, and the ability to work with multicultural and multigenerational customers
  • Must have the ability to maintain certification for assigned work area and provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire

Pay

Competitive and increases with experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday during regular Business Hours. Once Trained, more Flexible Hours available.
