Occupational Therapist, PRN

About the Role

A licensed occupational therapist at Erlanger Health System provides direct and indirect care in patient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Occupational Therapy evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient
• Provide age-appropriate treatment
• Participate in team meetings and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families about treatment programs
• Direct Occupational Therapy Assistants in patient treatments
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Serve as clinical instructor for OT and COTA students
• Participate in continuing education programs
• Engage in community education initiatives
• Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement efforts within the department and Medical Center
• Adhere to standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association regarding treatment procedures and professional ethics

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
• Tennessee licensure and registration in Occupational Therapy (required)
• BLS certification (must be completed prior to starting in the unit/department and maintained)

Location: Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN. This is a PRN (as-needed) position with temporary standard hours.
