Occupational Therapist - PRN

Role Overview

This PRN Occupational Therapist provides skilled evaluation and treatment services to diverse patients in an acute care setting, including orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac, and general medical cases. The role involves establishing treatment plans, educating patients and families, collaborating with healthcare teams, delegating tasks, and documenting care in accordance with policies. The therapist assesses, reassesses, and consults on occupational therapy needs to promote patient recovery and discharge readiness.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed or registered Occupational Therapist (OT) with a Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred)
• No prior experience required; supervision experience is not mandatory
• Strong communication skills for patient and team collaboration
• Ability to delegate and supervise assistants and students

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients and coordinate with healthcare providers
• Delegate interventions to support staff based on competency
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide assessments and consultations
