About the Role

The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for occupational therapy services. As an integral healthcare provider, you will assist patients in achieving their highest level of function and work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.
• Participate in student education and teaching commensurate with a novice clinician.
• Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs to help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate.
• Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families.
• Record and document clients/patients' health progress, including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• 0-2 years of clinical practice required (1 year preferred).
• Valid state license in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• CPR certification (American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers, BLS).
